This research project, led by Dr Rodney Westerlaken, explores how leisure, tourism, and hospitality (LTH) organisations can better balance paid and volunteer work. With volunteers playing a crucial role in these sectors, the project aims to develop sustainable, practical strategies for volunteer engagement. Through qualitative research and collaboration with regional stakeholders, the team provides tools and recommendations to improve volunteer management and support regional development.
