Title: Educators’ professional development in the context of innovations in higher education.

Timeline: January 2020- December 2024

Aim:
• The project aims to explore educators’ professional development in the context of innovations in higher education.

Partners:
• Eindhoven University of Technology, Wageningen University and Research & Research/4TU.cee, University of Utrecht, NHL Stenden university of Applied Sciences, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, Hanze university of Applied Sciences, Maastricht University, Radboud University Nijmegen, University Leiden, Saxion University of Applied Science, Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences, RUG University.

Outcomes so far:
1. As part of the case study, 33 practices were collected from the participating institutions. The case comparison shows that teacher-learning and innovation can be related in three ways. Practices can focus primarily on:
• implementing new teaching (teacher learning is a means)
• supporting teacher development (innovations are spin-offs)
• stimulating educational innovations (teacher learning is indirect)
