Provide a collection point where customers can place their empty bottles & cans: A crate works the best!
Step 05
Make a sign to clarify the purpose of the crate is deposit collection
Step 06
Collect the empty deposit cans & bottles in the deposit collection bag provided by your wholesaler
Step 07
Return the full bag to your wholesaler and the money will be donated by Statiegled Nederland to the charity that you chose on the Statiegeld Nederland website

Research
Last year, Marie Hartmann conducted research into the collection behavior regarding empty bottles and cans among students at NHL Stenden. An ordinary shopping crate (instead of the special donation bin from Statiegeld Nederland) turned out to be the most successful deposit collection system.

Following this research, we are calling on organizations, institutions, and businesses that sell bottles and cans to become collection points and actively encourage everyone to return bottles and cans. This will help reduce litter and allow donations to be made to a chosen charity.
