This week saw the launch of a new edited book from the Professors of the Hotel Management School Leeuwarden envisaging what the future hotel would look like in 2050 and beyond through the lens of hospitality, education & workforce, sustainability and innovation & disruption. The book sets out to live up to the hotel school vision of ‘creating what’s next’ by simply stating what will be next.

The research highlights the importance of strategic foresight and interdisciplinary collaboration in navigating emerging challenges. By integrating academic perspectives and industry trends, the work contributes to a deeper understanding of how hotels can evolve into adaptive, resilient and guest-centric environments.

As Academy Director Marco ten Hoor say’s in the book (p xxii)
