Hotel Management School Leeuwarden students Claudia Lopez Martinez and Carlota Ferreira have won the grand prize at the sixth edition of the Hayo Apotheker Stimulus Fund 2025 with their venture Free to Go.
Their innovative project provides vending machines stocked entirely with gluten-free and lactose-free products, offering instant access to safe and delicious food for people with allergies and intolerances. For this impactful idea, they received the €2,500 top prize.
During the grand finale, the team impressed the jury with a powerful pitch, promising pilot phase, and successful pop-up store.
“About 70% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant. With this prize, we can launch our first vending machines where the need is highest — starting right here on campus at NHL Stenden. We’re making safe and delicious food available to everyone,” said Free to Go.
