What will we be eating in 2075—and what will those meals say about who we are?
We invite chefs, scholars, creatives, and culinary storytellers to contribute to an innovative new book, The Future of Cuisine through Recipes, part of Channel View Publications’ Future of Tourism series. This volume explores how recipes can serve as cultural blueprints, speculative tools, and reflections of identity, sustainability, and technology in a rapidly changing world.
Whether rooted in tradition, shaped by migration and climate, or imagined through futuristic ingredients and food tech, your recipe will help us envision the meals—and meanings—of tomorrow.
We are seeking contributions in three categories:
• Recipes of Future Past – timeless dishes that endure across generations
• Recipes of Adaptation and Fusion – evolving recipes shaped by global change
• Future Food – speculative dishes using lab-grown, space-grown, or novel ingredients
Key Dates:
• Abstract submission deadline: 30 September 2025
• Final manuscript due: 28 May 2026
